…According to Huffington Post:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/viator/6-unusual-seattle-sights_b_1911019.html
The only one I’ve not done on their list is going to Zoo Tunes—haven’t yet had the opportunity, but someday I will!
There really are all kinds of quirky things to do around here, as well as traditional sight seeing and things. I tell everyone to go on the Under Ground Tour, which is a little bit quirky and a little bit standard-tourism. In fact, the Seattle Under Ground Tour is part of what inspired me to write Harbinger (Mythologicals Saga|One)! The whole thing is super interesting and definitely gets the imagination flowing!
Anyway, I <3 my city, so just had to share! :)
Happy Reading!

OMG OMG OMG! Ben Folds Five + Fraggle Rock. How could this get better? The song is even awesome!
Though, seeing all those Fraggles makes me want to sing another song…
“Dance your cares away (clap clap), worries for another day! Let the music play (clap clap) Down in Fraggle Rock!”
Hehehe!
Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

This is super cool. I remember when I used to take the time/have the energy to do drawings like this. It’s fun to watch the drawing come to life—especially the leather jacket. Very neat!

Hubby: So completely unrelated, but VERY funny… Annie (Carrie’s cousin that helped on Saturday) was telling Carrie that for her flight back to Spokane, she had bought this book on her Kindle about people shapeshifting and dealing with teenage angst and whatnot…..completely unprompted to do so. Wanna take a guess as to what book it was?
Elle: No it was not
Hubby: seriously.
Elle: That’s awesome! Did Carrie tell her it was my book?
Hubby: Of course she did. “funny thing about that book….you may have met the author this weekend…”
This is so freaking cool! Annie (and Carrie) helped the hubby and I install new carpet in our bedroom this weekend! My writing never came up, and I don’t even think Annie knew our last name. It’s a small, small world! :)

…are a lot like rearranging a room. You have the plan for where you are going, but about half way through, you look up and panic because everything is a huge mess and you don’t see anyway it’s possibly going to come back together.
You have to take a breath. You have to put your head down and keep going. You have to remind yourself that, eventually, it will all pan out. I’ve done this before, and I’ll do it again. It is all going to be fine.
At least that’s what I’m telling myself as I stare at the manuscript-mess I’ve created while my eye twitches a little.

Hubby and I have been working on refinishing a desk I picked up at Goodwill some months ago. (Okay, so we’ve been working on it, then neglecting it for weeks at a time…) Anyway, hubby put the finishing touches on it last weekend! It is now living comfortably in my living room. We painted it a dark brown so it would sort of match a couple of bookshelves that are in the same room. I love it so much, I just had to share!

I love it. Reading a good fanfic is like being given the gift of extra time in a world you already love. So right.

… that my lawyer’s, brother’s, wife’s best friend was roommates with Stephenie Meyer at BYU.
That’s, like, only five degrees of seperation.
I shoud invite her for Thanksgiving dinner this year…

…and following people back who a) aren’t bots and b) whose blogs I’d like to keep up with (keeping in mind that I often read my tumblr during lunch, at my desk at work.) If your blog contains mature content, I probably didn’t follow you, but not because I judge—more because I don’t want to get fired from my day job. Despite the writing and the books, I still need it… :)
<3 you all for following!!
