I’ve been working on the DRIFT paperback formatting, and thought you all might like seeing pics I’ve taken of some of the locations described in DRIFT. Obviously, there’s a lot of pics out there of the Pike Place Market sign, but bear with me. :)
If you like this, you might also like my ShiftSeries board on Pinterest.
Hope you enjoy these!

Augury (Mythologicals Saga |Two) is now with Beta Reader #1! YAAAY! To celebrate, here’s a snippet (that may or may not be altered in the final…)
I never intended this story to be told this way. I never intended it to be told at all. But if was going to be told, I’d never have expected not to be part of its continuance. That I’d be saying what she thought and he did, instead of telling it the way I saw it. But… here it is, and I’m not there.
Now, on to formatting the DRIFT (Shift Series #3) paperback while I wait for beta reader’s notes! Squeee!

Hello Faithful Readers!
Well, after being out-of-comission for a few days with a nasty bug, I can’t tell you how pleased I am to be back in the land of the living. Spending all day in bed is great when it’s by choice—not so much you’re forced to lie there because getting up for more than a few minutes is not possible. :)
Anyway, I realized after coming out of the fog that, as a result of my being infirmed, I’ve fallen woefully behind here on Tumblr (and Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) So here’s a quick catch-up of all the fun I was having before becoming a temporary invalid. ;)
On Friday, the 18th, my good friend and Beta Reader #1 hosted a BBQ in celebration of April having been my highest-selling month to date, and in simultaneous celebration of the release of DRIFT! It was quite fun! I wish I’d taken pictures, but alas, I didn’t. The good news is that May is shaping up to be an even better book-sales month, thanks entirely to all of you!
Which leads me to my next point: DRIFT (Shift Series #3) is doing gangbusters! I’ve received feedback over facebook and twitter already and most of you seem to like it, which makes my day, week, MONTH! DRIFT was one of the books I had a harder time writing—books in the middle of a series are always a bit more trying than others, for me at least—so it’s been absolutely wonderful to hear that people have enjoyed it! Thank you to all of you who’ve read it (whether you like it or not), and especially to those who’ve spread the word by telling a friend! You all are making it possible for me to write more and more!
Which leads me to point #3! Augury (Mythologicals Saga | Two) is due out next. My timeline says this summer, and that is probably still a reasonable deadline. Of course, as always, I’ll share as I get a feeling for a specific release month, etc. That being said, if you haven’t read Harbinger (Mythologicals Saga | One) and you’re looking for a semi-dystopic summer read, you might give it a try before the second book comes out. I plan to write a post where I explain this all in more detail, but Harbinger does relate to the SHIFT series—there might even be some repeat characters (perhaps those of a long-lived nature)—and you get to see some long-term repercussions of what Leah is dealing with in DRIFT. Admitedly, Harbinger is a more mature reading experience, aimed at a New Adult, as opposed to Young Adult audience, but nothing outlandish or NSFW. :) I wrote a post where I explained the relation between the two books/series and disclaimered (is that a word?) the differences here.
Until next time! Happy Reading!

Here it is, the final snippet of the week! Next up, the real thing! :) Stay tuned for updates!
But before I could say anything more, Horrible-Glasses said, “because you didn’t want people to know about your…gifts?” He twisted the last word, making ‘gifts’ sound like a dirty word. “Why would you keep them a secret if not to use them for nefarious purposes without the risk of being caught?”
Nefarious purposes? Was he being serious?
“How do we know that every thief or murderer put behind bars based on eye witness testimony hasn’t been wrongfully incarcerated!” he went on, raising his voice. He turned to his colleagues. “The shifters make eye witness testimony obsolete!”

We’d had a dog, when I was a kid. He’d died when I was little, but I could still remember this: When my dad came home from work, be it for the night, or between week-long shifts at the fire station, the dog would bound out of bed at the sound of the garage door opening. Then he’d press his wet, black nose to the seam of the door that led out into the garage. His breath, while he sniffed at the crack made a close, insistent hiss.
The same kind of close, insistent hiss that came around the seam of the door I stood behind now. But as it traveled back up the seam, I knew that whatever was making the noise—whatever was sniffing desperately at my door—was much too tall to be a pet.

In countdown to the release of DRIFT (Shift Series #3) I’ll be posting three different snippets this week. Enjoy!
“You and Drake King were traveling together, though? Was he taken, too?”
“No. He’s meeting me here.” I should have figured she’d be all worried about Drake: most girls seemed to be. I rolled my eyes internally.
“How do you know?”
“How do I know what?”
“That he hasn’t been taken?” she challenge, her voice a harsh, rasping whisper. “If you’re traveling separately, anything could have happened. And you’d never know it, would you?”
